Fred Zinnemann (April 29, 1907—March 14, 1997) was a noted director. He was natural to the Jewish family in Vienna, Austria, and died of the heart attack in London, England. When growing higher within Austrithe, he wanted to turn into a musician, so exposed law. He was drawn to films, when researching at the University of Vienna, & yet became a camera operator. He moved to the U.S. within 1929 & peformed several behind-the-scenes jobs prior to becoming a moving-picture show director. He directed numbers of different film genres including thrillers, westerns, film noir, & play adaptions. Several actors appearing within Zinnemann's films received Oscar nominations for his films including Frank Sinatra, Audrey Hepburn, Glynis Johns, Paul Scofield, Robert Shaw, Wendy Hiller, Jason Robards, Vanessa Redgrave, Jane Fonda, Gary Cooper & Maximilian Schell.

He won a Academy Award for Directing for From Here to Eternity and A Man for All Seasons and also took house a Right Picture Oscar for producing a latter film.
